What problems are we addressing?

CellarDAO Society solves a number of problems in the wine and spirits industry:

Firstly, we reduce the high entry barrier for people to invest in wine and spirits. Traditionally, investing in wine and spirits has been a complex and expensive process. Brokers charge fund management fees, upside fees, early exit fees and require sizeable upfront investments. All of this is done without enabling their investors to truly have a say in how their money is invested.

Second, we make it easy for people to trade their wine and spirits investments. Traditionally, trading wine and spirits has been a slow and inefficient process. However, by using blockchain technology to make trading wine and spirits more efficient and secure.

Thirdly, we enable people to track the provenance of wine and spirits. Provenance refers to the history of ownership of an asset. Traditionally, tracking the provenance of wine and spirits has been difficult. However, by utilizing blockchain technology, this makes it possible to track the provenance of wine and spirits in a secure and transparent way.
