How do we select the right investments?

Our team sources investment grade wines & spirits as close as possible to the proximity of the producers and checkscheck authenticity & provenance.

We have built a proprietary model to track price movements and identify anomalies in market pricing based on AI. This allows us to identify opportunities within a vast ecosystem of players and act on them accordingly.

When we look for investment options, we focus on the following:

• Brand value: does the producer and the product have the right long term focus to ensure their brand is enhanced and not tarnished by lower quality products or services.

• Quality of the production process: are the right long term materials used in terms of the barrels/casks, storage conditions, up to date technology for blending/bottling/labeling etc.

• Investment analysis: we use liv-ex to perform investment data analysis to understand what the historical appreciation was for similar wines & spirits and we plot that against the macro data for this period to find outperforming investments.

• Team: we look into the wine & spirit makers and their team and determine the quality of their work based on their reputation and their scores for previous years.

• Trends: we evaluate regions, grapes, wine & spirit types and then match that with consumption trends across the world to understand if the future market for our investments is viable.

After all this analysis we produce investment documents with a summarized version of our work.

These investment proposals are shared with CASK token holders who can then vote to decide if an investment is acceptable. Ultimately, we want to ensure the community has the final say in the direction we take so our sourcing data is also shared with our community.

Community members can also contribute, we offer community incentives of 10% of deal value (in CASK tokens) for anyone who brings us investment deals through their own network. This way we have a shared objective and reward mechanism with all the CASK token holders.
